Southampton have activated a one-year extension in midfielder Cam Bragg's contract, keeping the 21-year-old at the club until 2027, according to Daily Echo.

Bragg, with Southampton since the age of eight, had been on a deal due to expire at the end of this season.

The academy graduate has featured four times in the Championship this season, including a start in a 5-1 win over Charlton last month. He has stayed with the first team and made the matchday squad for five of seven games under new boss Tonda Eckert.

Reflecting on his rise, Bragg said recent weeks have been transformative and a reminder that things can change quickly. He added he is still settling into life with the senior group, but feels welcomed and comfortable.

Andy Goldie, the club's director of group talent strategy, praised Bragg's professionalism and said his emergence reflects his commitment to development. He described the midfielder as a role model at Staplewood, noted his lifelong support for the club, and added he is sure Bragg will continue to take his chances over the next 18 months.
