Southampton await Carabao Cup second-round draw after Colchester win | OneFootball

According to Daily Echo, Southampton will learn their Carabao Cup second-round opponents this evening.

Tonda Eckert's men won 2-0 at League Two Colchester United on Saturday, with second-half substitutes Cyle Larin and Romeo Akachukwu on target.

This is the stage when Premier League clubs not involved in Europe enter, including Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. The draw remains regionalised.

The draw takes place before Sky Sports' coverage of the Devon Derby between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City, and is expected to begin around 7.20pm.

Second-round ties are scheduled for the week commencing August 24, in between Saints' Championship home matches against Stoke City and Millwall.
