Southampton defender Rachel Brown has signed a new contract with the club.

The Saints announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 25-year-old full-back has agreed fresh terms with Southampton for the 2026/2027 season.

Brown joined Southampton in summer 2024 after leaving former club Sheffield United. The defender made 15 appearances for The Saints in her first season at the club before an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury halted her progress on the South Coast. Brown battled back to fitness and she has been able to add a further seven appearances to her tally.

The player has plenty more to offer Southampton and the club have therefore moved to retain her services for at least another 12 months.

After signing on again with Southampton, Brown said “I’m really excited, obviously I’ve been here for two years now but was injured for a big part of that and the club stuck by me the whole way so I’m grateful to be here to repay that.

“I’m looking forward to being back in with the girls and getting to work in pre-season, and I’m excited to see what we can do this year.”

Further Southampton squad news will be announced by the club in due course.
