Southampton will host Leicester City on Tuesday night after their 5-1 Charlton weekend win
Southampton are likely to be without Ryan Fraser for their midweek clash against Leicester City on Tuesday evening.
The Saints are back in action this midweek following their 5-1 victory away to Charlton Athletic at the weekend.
Tonda Eckert’s side have now won their last three games, with the interim coach maintaining his 100 per cent record with the trip to the Valley on Saturday.
Victory over the Foxes could see the team move into the top half of the Championship table and further fuel speculation that the temporary appointment could become the next permanent manager at St. Mary’s.
Eckert will be keen to keep up Southampton’s winning run, with the club aiming to get back into contention for promotion to the Premier League this season.

Eckert has revealed that Fraser will be unavailable on Tuesday night due to illness, but that the rest of the squad is as it was going into the weekend, with no other fresh injury concerns.
He has complimented the recruitment staff for building such a strong squad that can allow him the option to rotate during this busy period, but that he is also wary of making changes that could halt their winning momentum.
“Well the good thing is, and a big compliment to everyone on the recruitment team, I think that we have a very good squad, with a lot of players in there who are able to play on a good level,” said Eckert, via Southampton’s official YouTube channel.
“And that is not just for the players who started the season in the first team, but as you can see also players coming from the academy.
“So it is nice to have the option to change.
“But I’m also with you that if things go in a good direction, it sometimes helps to stay a little bit more consistent.
“Until this morning, nothing, I just got the info that Ryan Fraser has got a little bit of sickness, I assume he will be out for tomorrow.
“For the rest, everything is as it was in the weekend.”
Southampton are 16th in the Championship table following their convincing 5-1 win over Charlton on Saturday.
Three wins in a row have propelled the Saints eight points clear of the relegation zone, and within four of the play-off places ahead of this midweek round of fixtures.
The Hampshire outfit have yet to make an official decision on their next permanent coach after relieving Will Still of his duties earlier this month.
Next up for Eckert’s side is a home clash against Leicester on Tuesday evening in an 8pm kick-off.

Southampton are in good form now and are starting to climb the table, but the games are coming thick and fast.
Tuesday’s clash will be a big test for Eckert in his bid to become the permanent replacement to Still, as a midweek game offers an avenue for potential rotation.
The Saints have a deep squad, and the loss of just Fraser between games means that there are plenty of options to choose from.
