Southampton in advanced talks to sign Bayern goalkeeper

After spending the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Southampton, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is understood to be on the verge of joining the English club on a permanent basis.

According to Daily Echo, Southampton are in advanced negotiations to sign the 25-year-old permanently, with the hope of finalising an agreement this week.

The report adds that while Peretz has attracted interest from other clubs, he is believed to be keen on staying at Southampton and helping them secure promotion to the Premier League.

Peretz featured in 26 matches during the 2025/26 campaign for the Saints.

He joined Bayern Munich from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023 for a reported fee of around €5 million.
