Southampton are among the clubs showing interest in Karlsruher SC striker Louey Ben Farhat, Sky Sports Germany reports. The outlet adds that Eintracht Frankfurt lead the race, with AFC Bournemouth, RB Salzburg and Lille also listed, and that Karlsruher want over €10 million plus bonuses.

Ben Farhat, 20, scored six goals and supplied two assists in 20 league appearances in Germany's second tier last season. Karlsruher finished 10th. The Tunisian forward is under contract until 2029.

Saints are targeting a striker before the transfer window closes on September 1. They tied down former loanee Cyle Larin on a permanent deal earlier in the summer.

Even so, they remain a forward short after failing to agree terms on a new contract with Ross Stewart. He now looks set to join Swansea City.
