Southampton to exercise purchase option for Daniel Peretz | OneFootball

Daniel Peretz (25) has played a key role in Southampton reaching the Championship play-off final, and now the Bayern Munich goalkeeper could make a permanent switch to the English side regardless of if they are promoted to the Premier League.

Sky Germany report that Southampton intend to exercise their reported €7m purchase option on Peretz, who has made 26 appearances across all competitions since his January loan.

It’s important to note that if Southampton are promoted, their purchase option doesn’t turn into an obligation to buy. As such, Sky Germany add that nothing is finalised, but talks are ongoing.

It would bring an end to Peretz’s time at Bayern Munich, who he joined from Maccabi Tel Aviv for €5m in August 2023, meaning that Germany’s record champions would make a profit on the Israeli goalkeeper, who only made seven appearances across all competitions for Bayern.
