Southampton turn it on after the break as Larin leads statement win | OneFootball

Southampton beat Millwall 5-1 at St Mary's to make it back-to-back Championship wins and end the Lions' perfect start.

Mark Sykes put the Lions ahead in the 15th minute. The Saints hit back as Cyle Larin glanced in Ryan Manning's cross (25.), before Finn Azaz finished a Léo Scienza break to turn it around (38.).

After the restart, Azaz drew a penalty (54.). VAR confirmed the spot kick. Scienza tucked it away (55.).

Larin struck again from Azaz's pass to stretch the lead (62.). Substitute Tom Fellows completed the scoring with a composed finish (86.).

The Lions did threaten before the interval when Kyrell Lisbie hit the post in the second minute of first half stoppage time.

Larin now has four league goals, second in the Championship scoring chart. The Saints registered 21 attempts and eight corners.
