Spain star misses Czechia clash to attend birth of child | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks in the Spanish national team squad will play no part in the club’s meeting with Czechia on Saturday. This comes amid confirmation that Fabián Ruiz has departed the world champions’ camp.

Luis de la Fuente’s troops are currently locked in action, in their third fixture of the country’s Nations League campaign.

Fresh off back-to-back victories over England and Croatia, La Roja have welcomed Czechia to Oviedo, with sights on another three-point haul.

The aforementioned Fabián Ruiz featured from the off in each of Spain’s last two fixtures, continuing to play a leading role in the middle of the park.

But as alluded to above, on Saturday, the Paris Saint-Germain standout will not feature in any capacity. As per a report from French outlet L’Équipe:

‘According to the Spanish press, midfielder Fabian Ruiz has left La Roja’s camp. He is reportedly on his way to Paris to attend the birth of his first child.’
