Spain will face Croatia, England and Czech Republic in Group three of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League after Thursday’s draw in Brussels.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Luis de la Fuente led the Spanish delegation in the Belgian capital alongside Rafael Louzán. The draw proved tough, Spain dodging Italy and the Netherlands from pot two but landing Croatia and the strongest pot three side, England.
The format is unchanged. The top two teams progress to the quarter-finals, with group winners gaining home advantage. Third-placed sides enter play-offs with the second-placed teams from League B, and the bottom team is relegated.
The group stage runs from September to November 2026. The first four matches are scheduled between 24 September and 6 October, with the final two from 12 to 17 October. The quarter-finals are set for 25 to 30 March 2027, and the Final Four will be played from 9 to 13 June 2027.
Spain have reached three of the four finals so far, lifting the trophy in 2023 in Rotterdam against Croatia. In the most recent edition, they lost the title to Portugal on penalties in a final staged in Munich.
