Spanish referee to take charge of Anderlecht v OL in Europa League opener

Spanish official Ricardo de Burgos will referee Anderlecht v OL at Lotto Park in Brussels on Wednesday, the first matchday of the Europa League league phase.

Le Progres reports that he will be assisted by compatriots Iker de Francisco and Ivan Masso Granado.

This is only the second time he will take charge of an OL game, the previous one being the 4-2 meeting with PAOK Salonika on 29 January, also in the Europa League league phase.

VAR will be handled by fellow Spaniards Cesar Soto Grado and Alejandro Muniz Ruiz.

Adrian Cordero has been appointed as fourth official.
