Spence finally ready for Inter full training after Tottenham trouble | OneFootball

There is good news for Inter and England, as Djed Spence is finally ready to begin training with the squad from next week after arriving from Tottenham Hotspur carrying an injury.

The wing-back was one of the best performers for his country at the World Cup this summer, playing both right-back and left-back, but would have a more advanced role at Inter in their 3-5-2 formation.

Spence was signed on August 15 for €30m plus bonus, but arrived from Tottenham in bad physical shape, so missed the first six games of the season.

He has been working on a specialised training routine with the Inter staff to get him back on form, and Sky Sport Italia report that process will be completed this week.

His first session on the pitch was on September 11, as before that he was only in the gym.

Coach Cristian Chivu should therefore have the 26-year-old training with the rest of his teammates for the first time from Monday.

It will be a quiet session, seeing as so many of the players are away on international duty, but figures like John Stones and Hakan Calhanoglu remain after withdrawing from their squads due to injury.

Spence could make his Inter debut against Parma in Serie A on October 10 at San Siro.

Meanwhile, he was spotted at London Fashion Week in the audience for the Burberry show.
