The Saudi Pro League has unveiled a new international distribution model that takes live Roshn Saudi League matches direct to fans in 16 markets, while enabling approved creators, clubs and players to help expand its global reach. The hybrid approach blends SPL-owned direct-to-consumer streaming with a wider partner network, marking the SPL’s entry into the creator economy.

According to spl.com.sa, supporters in selected territories can purchase pay-per-view access via SPL channels, or receive free, brand-sponsored viewing by completing agreed actions such as registration or brand engagement.

Approved creators and RSL footballers can promote individual matches or bundles across their own platforms, earning a share of the revenue they generate, with selected third-party platforms also joining the distribution network. The model is powered by Recast’s monetisation and instant revenue-sharing technology.

The roll-out covers 16 markets, namely the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Canada, New Zealand, Serbia, South Korea, Malta, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Cyprus and Greece.

This sits alongside the league’s existing international broadcast footprint, which features 45 partners across more than 180 territories, including FOX, ESPN, DAZN, SPOTV, OKKO and FanCode. It offers an additional route in places where traditional deals may not deliver widespread access, while helping the SPL build direct relationships and first-party audience insights.

The creator economy is one of digital media’s fastest-growing sectors and is valued at about USD 388 billion, underscoring the influence of creators, online communities and new monetisation models on how sport is discovered and consumed.
