Sponsor honours Corinthians women for sixth Libertadores title

Corinthians' master sponsor, Esportes da Sorte, held a tribute last Thursday (30th) for the Brabas athletes for their sixth Conmebol Libertadores Feminina title (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025, the latter won on October 18th against Deportivo Cali-COL, in a penalty shootout, in the grand final).

After their victory, the athletes received seven days off and resumed training last week, when they were honored with personalized boxes containing exclusive gifts from the betting company – a themed cup, a special letter, and the Esportes da Sorte mascot.

This year's international achievement secured Corinthians Feminino a spot in the Club World Cup – Copa das Campeãs – for the category, which will take place between the end of January and the beginning of February in London, England. In the semifinals, the Brabas will face Gotham FC from the United States, where Gabi Portilho, who had a memorable stint at Parque São Jorge, currently plays.

Speaking to Corinthians' official website, goalkeeper Nicole, born in Taió (SC), highlighted the value given to the sport by the club's partners, even referencing the scenario in previous years: “In the past, women's football suffered from a lack of sponsorship. Having a consistent brand by our side makes a difference. Knowing that Esportes da Sorte will continue with us for a long time is fundamental to consolidating the team and the project in the long term,” she said.

Defender Thaís Regina also celebrated the initiative and praised the club's mentality regarding the sport: “Corinthians has a different mentality, it doesn't focus only on a starting lineup, but on a complete squad. We have good players, whether starters or substitutes, technical staff, doctors, therapists, and nutritionists. That is the club's differential,” she commented.

Esportes da Sorte vice president Marcela Campos stated: “Esportes da Sorte believes in the transformative power of sport and in the role of women's football as an example of consistency, dedication, and overcoming obstacles. The Brabas' victory is also the victory of a project that values talent and persistence.”
