Thomas Müller is currently still actively playing soccer with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS. The Bayern legend is clearly feeling at home in Vancouver and is enjoying being a very important player for his team once again

That was no longer the case at the end of his time in Munich, where he often came off the bench and no longer had much of an impact on the pitch, even if he was still very important in the dressing room

Müller talks about his return to Bayern

Even when he left, it was clear that many managers and fans of the record champions wanted Müller to return to his favourite club at some point. In whatever role, whether as sporting director or in another position

Müller has now spoken for himself in the new episode of „Bestbesetzung“, a talk show on Magenta TV hosted by Johannes B. Kerner. Müller will be working as a World Cup expert in an illustrious team around Mats Hummels and Jürgen Klopp on Magenta this summer

When asked whether he could imagine a role as sports director in Munich, Müller said: „I’m not one to rule anything out. I generally let it come to me,“ Müller said, adding: „If a door was just a crack open and I wanted to get in, I’ve always managed to do that in the past.“

However, Müller did not want to be completely specific: „In that case, I would choose the same. If I want something and I think I have the skills to do it, then you can push the door open.“ That does not sound as if Müller would categorically reject a position at Bayern, but also not as if there are any concrete considerations at the moment. First of all, the player wants to continue his active career, that is the number one goal.
