Although there were no League One games, and only two League Two games, due to the FA Cup second round - there was still a full docket of Championship action this weekend, including for Spurs loanees. Dane Scarlett and his Oxford side hosted Millwall, whilst Ashley Phillips and his Stoke CIty side hosted high flying Burnley.

The showdown between Oxford and Millwall was one of a few earlier kick offs in the Championship. As for Scarlett, he was named back in the starting XI for this one. Just three minutes into the game, former Spurs academy graduate Japhet Tanganga was booked for a foul on the young on loan striker

However, just before half-time, Tanganga would put Millwall into the lead, nodding home from a corner at the far post, to ensure his side would be ahead at the interval.

Around the hour mark, the inevitable change happened, and Scarlett was replaced by Mark Harris, as he still looks for his first 90 minutes in a U's shirt. It was a difficult game for the 20-year old, who had very few touches of the ball, and only one shot, which was from absolutely miles out

Five minutes from time, Oxford grabbed an equaliser for a useful and impressive point, Millwall have beaten the likes of Leeds United and Burnley this season, so there is no shame in drawing to them, even at home. Individually, it is fair to say that Tanganga won the battle of the players who featured in Spurs' 20/21 Europa League campaign

This draw leaves Oxford in 17th place in the Championship, with 18 points from their 18 games so far this campaign.

Elsewhere, at 15:00 GMT, Phillips started his eight game in a row for Stoke's showdown with Burnley, starting in the middle of a back three for this one. However, the visitors came out on top, condemning Phillips' side to a 2-0 defeat. It could have been 3-0, but for a goal line clearance from Phillips. The defender got another 90 minutes in the legs.
