Mathys Tel had scored just three Premier League goals this season and none since early January heading into tonight's key clash with Leeds. 

He picked the perfect time and a familiar opponent to end that drought before playing a huge part in Leeds' equaliser. 

In and out of the lineup throughout an incredibly difficult campaign for the club, the young Frenchman has come to the fore under Roberto De Zerbi, providing an assist in last weekend's win at Aston Villa. 

He went one better here five minutes into the second half, curling a stunning effort past Karl Darlow after the ball fell his way from a corner. 

Having scored his first of the season at Elland Road in a 2-1 win, Tel appeared set to be key to another crucial win for Spurs. 

Instead, his foul on Ethan Ampadu led to a penalty that Dominic Calvert-Lewin smashed home with 15 minutes to go to deny Spurs.
