Tottenham Hotspur youngster Lenna Gunning-Williams has signed a contract extension with the club until summer 2028.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

The 20-year-old England youth international is a product of the Spurs academy system. Gunning-Williams was handed her senior debut for the North Londoners in a Subway Women’s League Cup group stage match against Coventry United in November 2022. The attacker found the back of the net during her maiden Spurs appearance.

Since making her senior debut for Spurs, Gunning-Williams has added a further 18 appearances to her tally with 16 of those outings coming this season. In addition to building first team experience at Spurs, the player also previously turned out for Ipswich Town in a spell where she was dual-registered with the Suffolk club.

It is fair to say that Gunning-Williams in one of Spurs’ most exciting young players and the club have therefore moved quickly to retain her services for the next three years. The player will be aiming to push for more first team starts in her extended spell with Spurs, along with further national team progress.

Gunning-Williams is the first player to sign a new contract with Spurs during the close season.
