Arsenal’s growing belief in their pursuit of silverware has been driven by unity and collective purpose, according to goalkeeper David Raya (30), who says the squad’s togetherness could prove decisive in the closing months of the season. The Spaniard pointed to the harmony within the dressing room as a defining strength, crediting manager Mikel Arteta and his staff for fostering an environment where players feel connected both on and off the pitch.
“The whole squad is bonded together,” Raya said, speaking exclusively to Sky Sports. “We are literally like friends and team-mates at the same time. It makes everything easier, and it gives you confidence when you step onto the pitch.” That cohesion has been reflected in Arsenal’s performances, with players stepping up when called upon and maintaining momentum across competitions.
Attention now turns to their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, where Arsenal will look to extend their advantage at the top. Raya believes recent performances, including dominant cup displays, have reinforced confidence throughout the squad, particularly among returning players and those seeking greater involvement.
He also stressed the importance of staying present during a pivotal period. “If you think too far ahead, you lose focus,” Raya said. “We know what we want to achieve. We want to make it a special season for the club and the supporters.”
