Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Standard Liege are eyeing up a move for Tsiy Ndenge as a replacement for Isaac Price. Former Everton midfielder Price is set to leave the side and join West Brom for around €2m, a tidy profit for the club having signed the Northern Irish international on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. Ndenge’s contract at Swiss side Grasshoppers is set to expire in 2025, so any deal should be relatively cheap if the club want to sign him this January.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who was born in Germany and is available to represent both the European country and Cameroon, has been with Grasshoppers since 2022. He has played 79 games for the club since joining from Luzern on a free transfer, scoring 14 goals. Prior to moving to Switzerland the midfielder came through the Borussia Monchengladbach academy. He never made a first team appearance for the side, spending most of his time with the sides second team and a brief period on loan at Dutch side Roda.
