Jamie Knight-Lebel marshalled Motherwell's defence and set up a bar-rattling effort in the 29th minute, as Motherwell and Falkirk drew 0-0 at Fir Park.

From a corner, the Canada defender recycled the delivery to find Ibrahim Said, whose strike cannoned off the bar to cap the hosts' brightest first half spell.

After the restart, Knight-Lebel climbed to nod a deft header into Johnny Koutrombis' path (66.), carving out another sight of goal as the home side kept the pressure on.

Knight-Lebel won five aerial duels, made four clearances and blocked one effort. He completed 84 of 93 passes from 102 touches and even forced Scott Bain into a save, knitting build-up with security at the back.

With Motherwell enjoying long spells of possession, his calm distribution and two key passes kept the Bairns turned around, while his aerial dominance limited direct balls into dangerous areas.
