Alfonso Trezza Hernandez created the opener in the eighth minute and later scored, driving Arouca to a 2-2 draw with Gil Vicente. His double contribution shaped the game at the Estádio Municipal de Arouca.

Early on he slipped a pass through for Lee Hyun-Ju to break the deadlock. The Uruguayan then arrived in the box to finish from close range (12.), capping a blistering start.

Trezza threatened again in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time, glancing a header wide as he chased a late winner.
