Loic Nego stood out in the 21st minute with a whipped cross during Le Havre's 2-0 defeat to Nantes.
From that set piece he picked out Gautier Lloris with a clipped delivery that the centre-back glanced just wide. The right-back repeatedly attacked the outside lane, pinning back Les Canaris' left side in the first half.
After the restart he kept supplying the box, finishing with four crosses, two of them accurate, and one key pass. His 21 successful final third passes underlined how often he progressed Le Havre up the pitch.
He completed 68 of 82 passes and took 105 touches, both game-leading involvement for the visitors, while adding three clearances and a blocked shot. In a match where Le Havre posted 71.2% possession and delivered 26 crosses, Nego was the outlet that sustained territory on the right.
Les Canaris visit Lille next. Le Havre host Paris Saint-Germain.
