Harrison Burrows struck in the 19th minute with a precise left-footed finish that ultimately decided a 2-1 win for Sheffield United over Sheffield Wednesday.
Running onto a slide-rule pass from Sydie Peck, the defender drilled high into the top left to double the lead, rewarding the Blades' front-foot start. It was clean technique under little margin for error, taken early and guided beyond Seny Dieng.
After the Blades went down to ten men (49.), Burrows' game shifted towards resilience. He read crosses, stepped in front of runners and swept up loose balls as Wednesday pushed down his flank. He still found time to create, threading a late pass for Tyrese Campbell that produced a blocked effort in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time.
Burrows' numbers told the story: 78 touches and nine successful final third passes underlined his control on the ball, while four clearances and two interceptions showed the defensive edge needed once the Owls forced the issue.
His calm decision-making in wide areas, receiving early and releasing quickly, kept the Blades moving up the pitch and then recovering into shape. That dual role on the left gave United an outlet and a shield in the key phases.
The Blades climb from 16th to 14th and host Coventry City next, while the Owls visit Norwich City.
