Nanitamo Ikone struck in the fourth minute to set Paris FC on their way to a 4-1 win over Monaco, then added another before the interval. The France international's brace tilted the game decisively.
He arrived unmarked to turn in a Moses Simon cross early on, a classic back post run that punished loose marking in the six-yard area.
Ikone doubled the lead on a fast break, timing his run to sweep home Ciro Immobile's pass (21.). That burst forced Les Rouge et Blanc to retreat and opened lanes for transitions.
After the restart he created again, slipping in Marshall Munetsi for a close range effort that was saved (47.). His evening ended with an enforced change as he went off injured (65.).
The numbers underlined his control: four attempts with two on target, 10 successful final third passes and six possessions won. It was a complete display of timing, end product and work rate between the lines.
Paris FC climb from 13th to 12th and visit Metz next. Les Rouge et Blanc host Auxerre next.
