Vanderson changed the tie in the 61st minute with a piercing pass to create an opening, his right-back cameo helping Monaco draw 0-0 at Le Havre.
Introduced just before the hour, the Brazilian immediately stretched Le Havre down the right. He fed the edge of the box for a left-footed attempt (61.), signalling a shift in territory.
Les Rouge et Blanc kept funnelling attacks through him after that. He delivered two crosses and completed 10 successful final third passes, and later supported a break that ended with Folarin Balogun's effort being saved (77.).
He finished with 21 of 24 passes completed, three tackles with two won, five possession regains, one blocked shot and four recoveries, underscoring control on and off the ball.
Fresh legs at right-back after replacing Kassoum Ouattara gave width and security, allowing Monaco's attacking midfielders to drift inside while he locked down transitions on the flank.
Les Rouge et Blanc host Juventus in the Champions League next. Le Havre visit Lens in Ligue 1.
How high would you rate Vanderson's performance tonight?
