Lucas Stassin is in Seville on Tuesday to finalise a loan move to Sevilla after ASSE reached an agreement. He has pushed to play above Ligue 2 since ASSE’s relegation in May 2025.
L'Équipe reports that the loan carries a €2.5m fee and includes a €25m purchase option. His contract at ASSE has been extended to 2029.
The deal has emerged late on a frantic deadline day after weeks without a concrete pathway. He did not take part in the build-up to Monday’s 3-2 win at Dijon as talks accelerated.
The Andalusian switch will take him to La Liga but not into Europe, with Sevilla coming off a difficult season that ended 13th. The club remain serial European specialists, with seven Europa League titles since 2006.
Les Verts are losing the second-highest scorer of the Kilmer era and their record signing at €10m in 2024. If he thrives in Andalusia and the option is triggered, ASSE would bank a significant profit. The club still have other moves to complete, with arrivals closing at 19:59 but not departures.
