The STJD has fined Corinthians R$ 10,000 for an unauthorised marketing activation during their Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino match against Santos.
According to Meu Timao, defender Thaís Regina displayed a Vizzela Lip Oil Frozen Grape product to SporTV cameras during the national anthem before kick-off.
Regina fronts the campaign for the new lip oil, developed with the Brabas, alongside goalkeeper Nicole and defender Duda Mineira. The launch took place on the day of that clássico.
The incident fell under article 191, item III of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice, covering non-compliance with competition regulations. Sanctions for this clause range from R$ 100 to R$ 100,000.
The act was described as unilateral and deliberate, executed without authorisation, and categorised as ambush marketing.
Auditors deemed the case unprecedented. After the ruling, the club’s lawyer requested that an acórdão be issued.
