STJD fines Santos for late restart in win over Remo | OneFootball

Santos have been fined R$ 3,000 by the STJD for a late restart during their 2-1 win against Remo at the Mangueirão in the 28th round of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the fourth Disciplinary Commission ruled on Thursday 24, recognising three minutes of effective delay and setting a penalty of R$ 1,000 per minute under article 206 of the CBJD in a unanimous decision. Dr Heitor Prados conducted Santos’s defence.

Referee Wilton Pereira Sampaio’s match report noted both teams returned late for the second half, recording a four-minute delay to re-entry and three minutes of actual delay despite attempts by the officials to prevent it.

The club’s total fines this year have reached R$ 84,000 across Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil fixtures.

Separately, the STJD rejected a request to annul the match against Coxa, archived a case involving Luan Peres against Corinthians, and issued a warning to Barreal in the game with Coritiba. Coach Cuca, assistant Cuquinha and coordinator Leo Bastos were cautioned, while coach Vojvoda and assistant Gastón Liendo were cleared.

Santos were also fined R$ 8,000 for objects thrown in the match with Atlético-MG, broken down as R$ 4,000 for a cardboard ball, R$ 3,000 for a cup and R$ 1,000 for a wet paper ball. Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão received a warning over comments about referee Raphael Claus, and forward Gabriel Barbosa was suspended for one game for an obscene gesture against Vitória.

In addition, a R$ 15,000 fine was imposed after a supporter spat at Reinaldo of Mirassol.
