Stoke City drew 0-0 with Queens Park Rangers in the Championship on Saturday, a stalemate that nudges the hosts up to seventh while the visitors remain 11th.

Early on, Tomas Rigo forced Joe Walsh into a save and Divin Mubama headed wide as Stoke pressed.

Before the interval, Richard Kone broke clear and shot wide, then after the restart Sorba Thomas missed the target as the hosts continued to push.

Joe Walsh made three saves as Queens Park Rangers sat deep and protected their box. Gavin Bazunu produced two stops at the other end.

After Mark Robins introduced Million Manhoef early in the second half, Stoke worked the flanks more often, with Ashley Phillips heading off target late on.

Deep into second half stoppage time, Kone's close-range header was cleared away as the final chance slipped by.

Stoke finished with 73% possession and 12 attempts. QPR registered seven attempts and made 31 clearances.
