A Stourbridge pub has told customers of a late rule change ahead of England’s 2026 World Cup quarter-final against Norway this weekend.

A spokesperson for The Ashwood, on Sandringham Place in Wordsley, said in a social media post that no under-18s will be permitted for the 10pm kick-off on Saturday. They added the venue had only just been informed and apologised for the short notice.

England face Norway in Miami at 10pm on Saturday 11 July, following their 3-2 win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium on Monday 6 July.

Many in the UK are expected to watch in pubs, but children will miss out at this venue because of the change.

The pub also thanked customers for their understanding.
