According to L’Equipe, RC Strasbourg Alsance are entering final stages to seal Gonçalo Borges’ (23) deal from Porto for an €8M fee.
After a slow start to the summer transfer window, Strasbourg are pushing forward to have their squad ready for the start of the season. After appointing Liam Rosenior as the club’s new head coach following Patrick Vieira’s exit, the Alsace side have signed Rennes’ right-back Guéla Doué (21). The Ivorian international could soon be joined by another hot prospect, as Strasbourg are pushing forward to sign Porto’s promising winger.
Last season, Borges enjoyed solid gametime in Sergio Conceicao’s squad despite facing fierce competition, taking part in 28 games across all competitions and logging three assists along the way. The 23-year-old could leave his formative club to enjoy a first experience abroad, as L’Equipe reports that both parties are close to findIng an agreement over a €8M deal.
