Strasbourg keen to loan Manchester City’s Jahmai Simpson-Pusey | OneFootball

Whilst there is lingering uncertainty around the managerial situation, amid Chelsea’s interest in taking Liam Rosenior, RC Strasbourg Alsace are moving ahead in their plans for the January transfer window. 

As per a report from The Telegraph, one of the players targeted by the Ligue 1 side is Jahmai Simpson-Pusey (20). The England youth international, a regular in Manchester City’s matchday squads last season, has endured a tough few months on loan at Celtic, where he has played just two games in all competitions. 

The defender is set to see his loan spell at the club terminated as a result. Simpson-Pusey is not expected to remain at the Etihad, however. Instead, he is expected to spend the second half of the season on loan elsewhere. Koln are a potential destination for the England youth international, but The Telegraph also report interest from Strasbourg. There is also interest from Parma, whilst EFL Championship clubs are also expected to join the race.
