Strasbourg president Marc Keller has backed head coach Liam Rosenior after the Englishman publicly criticised sections of the club’s supporters in the wake of Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Le Havre.

Speaking at Thursday’s press conference, Keller gave his full support to his coach – transcribed by RMC Sport. “What Liam Rosenior said was superb. He speaks English but is completely integrated into our project,” said Keller. “He was approached by important clubs in his own country and abroad, but he stayed and extended his contract. That shows we have people who are committed to Strasbourg.”“I want us to be united behind one objective. A very small minority crossed the red line, but I hope we will find positive relations again. The fans can whistle if we are 15th in the table or if Ema [Emegha] misses ten chances, but not on this.”“The club is bigger than me, than them, than anyone. If we are not behind the club, it is better not to come. Let’s be behind our players, our coach, and the project.”GFFN | George Boxall
