Strasbourg sign Benjamin Brantlind, Mateo Del Blanco ‘to join’ | OneFootball

Strasbourg have confirmed the signing of Swedish midfielder Benjamin Brantlind on a five-year deal, and left-back Mateo Del Blanco is expected to arrive in the coming days.

RCSA have paid the €2.1m release clause for the Union Santa Fe defender. According to Radio Gol, the 22-year-old bade farewell to his team-mates on Friday.

The club remain without a head coach but continue their summer rebuild. They have already added Portuguese midfielder Diogo Sousa, 20, and are awaiting official confirmation of Polish goalkeeper Milosz Piekutowski, 20.

Brantlind, a Sweden Under-19 international attacking midfielder who turns 18 on 15 August, joins from Göteborg for €1m plus €800,000 in bonuses.

Del Blanco has been tracked by Racing for months and has more than 100 senior appearances. He has also been monitored by Lyon and Toulouse.
