Strasbourg have revived their move for Joaquín Martínez Gauna, Oso, edging towards Sevilla’s €10m reference as his 2027 deal weighs on talks. According to La Colina De Nervion, discussions now centre on a figure close to €10m, roughly half of his €20m clause.

His agents are negotiating with the French club, and any agreement would still require the player’s approval. Sevilla are weighing what they can bank now against the risk of the full-back entering the final months without a renewal.

Oso’s clause rose to €20m last season, yet his contract runs only until 30 June 2027. Sevilla explored an extension up to 2030, though that has not been finalised.

On 15 July, sporting director José Ignacio Navarro said the club aimed to extend the contracts of Oso and Andrés Castrín. Sevilla also set guidance of about €10m fixed plus add-ons for the left-back, a figure that gains traction as the term shortens.

A sale would involve a player in the current plans, not a fringe option. Strasbourg’s move still needs the player’s green light, and in Nervión his value is shaped by both the €20m clause and the calendar to 30 June 2027.
