RC Strasbourg Alsace are reportedly keeping a close eye on Ivan M’Bahia (20), according to Morning Foot.
A versatile defender capable of playing in central defence or at right-back, the young Ivorian has established himself as a key player for Clermont Foot 63. Having joined the Auvergne-based club in January 2024 from FC Angré City in Côte d’Ivoire, M’Bahia has started in 20 of the 23 Ligue 2 matches he has played since the start of the season.
Under contract with Clermont until 2028, the Yopougon-born player could be one of the standout prospects of the summer transfer window in the second division. Whilst Strasbourg have indeed put him on their radar to bolster their defence, AS Monaco, Lille OSC and even RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga are said to be keen on M’Bahia’s profile.
Should he sign for RCSA, the Ivory Coast Under-23 international (one cap) would be reunited with a number of his compatriots, as Guéla Doué (23), Abdoul Ouattara (20), Datro Fofana (23), Martial Godo (23) and Abakar Sylla (23), on loan at FC Nantes, all feature in the squad.
