Strasbourg’s Abdoul Ouattara withdraws from Côte d’Ivoire U23 squad with back injury

Strasbourg midfielder Abdoul Ouattara has withdrawn from the Côte d’Ivoire U23 squad. According to L'Équipe, the 20-year-old has a back injury.

On Sunday, he came off the bench in the 62nd minute during Strasbourg’s 3-2 win at Nantes.

His U23 debut will have to wait. Côte d’Ivoire face Morocco twice, on 26 and 30 March, in friendlies.

He hopes to be available for Strasbourg’s return to action on 4 April against Nice.

Ouattara has already made 34 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions this season.
