Strasbourg’s Mathis Amougou could join Toulouse | OneFootball

Since joining RC Strasbourg Alsace from sister club Chelsea last summer, Mathis Amougou (20) has struggled for game time. The France youth international started just four times in Ligue 1 across the last campaign. The midfielder could now be set for a temporary exit, as per a report from L’Équipe.

Before the end of the transfer window, Strasbourg are keen to strengthen their midfield. The Alsace club remain in contact with Stade Rennais over a deal for Djaoui Cissé. Despite having an agreement in principle with the player, there is still a significant difference in valuation between the two clubs.

But there could also be departures in this sector, namely Amogou, who after signing in a €12m deal, was on the fringes of the setup last season. That does not look like changing this year. As per a report from L’Équipe, he could join Toulouse FC, who have made an enquiry about the former AS Saint-Étienne midfielder. The relationship between the two clubs is strong.
