Former Sunderland man Danny Collins has pointed out that Watford star Kwadwo Baah looked after the ball well while tormenting Sunderland with his stepovers at the weekend.
Last season, the 21-year-old winger spent the first half of the season with Burton Albion, and turned some heads, but this season Baah has yet to establish himself in Watford’s starting line-up.
At the weekend, Baah came on as a substitute against Sunderland in the second half when the scoreline was 1-1 and won Watford a penalty, which helped them to secure a 2-1 win over the Black Cats.
Collins was impressed with Baah’s display against Sunderland and pointed out that the winger was the brightest of all the substitutes that Tom Cleverly made on Saturday.
The former Championship star also praised Baah for his strong display and stepovers, which disturbed the Sunderland defence and he added that the youngster looked after the ball very well.
“They made changes top end; Tom Ince came on as well but I did think Baah for them was the brightest one really”, Collins told Sunderland TV.
“Couple of stepovers.
“He was strong and looked after the ball.”
Baah has so far made five appearances for Watford this season, all of them coming off the bench and he will be determined to make himself a permanent fixture in the starting line-up this season.
