Watford moved within a point of the Championship summit following a comfortable victory over Rotherham United on Tuesday evening.
The Hornets have dropped off the pace in recent weeks after taking just six points from their last five league matches.
That dip in form had seen Vladimir Ivic’s men slip outside the top-six and down to eighth-place in the second-tier standings, but Watford bounced back with a routine win over the Millers at Vicarage Road.
Christian Kabasele gave the hosts an early advantage inside the opening five minutes after a Troy Deeney assist, before the Hornets captain got in on the act himself after a quarter of an hour to ensure Watford continued their outstanding home form this season.
Whilst Deeney’s performance played a massive part in Watford claiming the three points, their fans were left delighted with the performance of right-back Jeremy Ngakia, who was voted as the club’s official man of the match on Twitter.
