Sunderland’s second-half display at York City saw Jenson Seelt stand out, while Leo Hjelde was forced off injured.

An experienced XI had already built a 4-0 lead before Regis Le Bris changed his XI at the break. According to Sunderland Echo, the younger side conceded early but replied through Tom Proctor.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore was rooted to the spot as a corner flew in early in the half, but was steady thereafter and had little to do. He was rated five.

Right-back Jenson Jones was solid defensively, stuck to his task and produced some tidy touches on the ball. He was rated six.

Seelt showed his experience with some crucial defensive interventions and looked in very good shape. He was rated eight.

Hjelde began steadily but was forced off midway through the half after missing a tackle on halfway, appearing in clear discomfort. He was not rated.
