Sunderland and Bournemouth ‘to step up’ £30m move for Tarik Muharemović amid Juventus clause talk | OneFootball

Tuttosport reports that Sunderland and Bournemouth could make concrete moves for Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemović in the coming days, with Juventus said to be some way behind in the race.

The 23-year-old, born in Slovenia, represents Bosnia and Herzegovina and has senior caps after captaining their under-21s.

He came through Wolfsberger AC in Austria, making five first-team appearances before joining Juventus in 2021. He featured largely for Juventus Next Gen in Serie C, registering 47 league games and two goals.

A 2024 loan to Sassuolo proved pivotal, as he became an important figure in their Serie B title win and immediate return to Serie A. The move was made permanent the following year, and he has since played 32 Serie A matches, scoring twice.

In total he has 136 senior club outings and six goals, plus 17 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina. His market value is estimated at about £21.5m to £30m. Juventus are also said to have buy-back and sell-on clauses, and could re-sign him for around £15.5m.
