Sunderland have been linked with £25m-rated Osasuna centre-back Enzo Boyomo ahead of the summer window.

A report on social media says several Premier League clubs are monitoring the Cameroon international after his standout display against Barcelona, naming Everton, Brighton and Sunderland, with Serie A side Como also keeping tabs. It added he posted 100 per cent success in defensive duels in that match.

Boyomo, 24, enhanced his reputation in Spain with Albacete then Real Valladolid, helping the latter win promotion to La Liga. He joined Osasuna in 2024 on a five-year contract.

Born in Toulouse, he spent time in Blackburn Rovers’ academy before moving to Spain. He is now a regular in La Liga and has broken into the Cameroon national team.

Régis Le Bris’ side are expected to strengthen again this summer to build on their first season back in the Premier League. Centre-back may be assessed, in line with a recruitment focus on athletic profiles, development potential and experience in major European leagues with future resale value.
