Sunderland and Newcastle United ‘make enquiries’ over Serie A midfielder | OneFootball

Sunderland, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have made enquiries about Juventus and France midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to Calcio Mercato.

The report says Manchester United and Liverpool admire the 25-year-old, while Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and European champions Paris Saint-Germain are also named as interested parties.

Doubt remains over Thuram’s future with the Serie A giants.

Sunderland have yet to make their first signing of the summer as they prepare for their maiden Europa League campaign. They were boosted by news Granit Xhaka looks set to remain for the new season despite strong interest from Chelsea.

Director of football Florent Ghisolfi has said stability will be the focus for the remainder of the window.

The report also notes Forest are now flush from the £115m they received for Elliot Anderson.
