Sunderland Echo reports that Régis Le Bris has shut down talk of a summer exit for Wilson Isidor, insisting the forward is staying at Sunderland and is content with his role. The striker has been linked with Ipswich Town and Hull City as he enters the final two years of his deal.

Isidor underlined his case with a sharp first-time finish in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over RC Lens, a step up in pre-season. Lens finished second in Ligue 1 last season and won the Coupe de France.

After frustration over limited starts last season, he ended the campaign strongly and, according to Le Bris, accepts his place in the squad and is prepared to be patient.
