Sunderland have agreed new deals with Wilson Isidor and Jenson Seelt to 2030, with Seelt also joining Swansea City on loan, as the transfer deadline nears.

According to L’Equipe, Marseille are split over Igor Paxaio’s future, their sporting department want to keep him at all costs, while senior figures behind the scenes are open to a sale.

Isidor marked his 26th birthday by committing until the summer of 2030. Director of Football Florent Ghisolfi praised his attitude and impact whether starting or from the bench, and said there is more progress to come, adding the club are proud he wants to continue the journey.

Seelt has also extended to 2030 before moving to the Championship with Swansea. The 23-year-old spent much of last season out on loan. Sunderland want him to develop at Swansea and view him as firmly in their future plans.

Earlier this week, the Manchester City winger Jack Grealish emerged as a surprise loan target for Regis Le Bris’ side. That pursuit now appears to have taken a hit, with Grealish understood to prefer a return to Everton after last season’s loan. Talks are said to be under way with the Toffees, while City are also eyeing Iliman Ndiaye in a move that could potentially make Grealish a makeweight.
