Sunderland first-half ratings v York City as Le Fee hits brace and Rigg scores | OneFootball

Sunderland opened their 2026/27 campaign with a ruthless first half at York City, leading 4-0 as Enzo Le Fee scored twice, with Chris Rigg and Timur Tutierov also on target.

According to Sunderland Echo, Régis Le Bris picked an experienced XI for the opening 45 minutes, then switched to a largely academy group after the interval at the LNER Community Stadium.

Le Fee struck first and later closed the half with a second first-time finish. Hume played a part in the opener and then set up Rigg to double the lead, before Tutierov added the third.

Melker Ellborg six. The goalkeeper was largely untroubled, making one sharp block at the back post before an offside flag, and was neat with the ball.

Trai Hume seven. Excellent on the ball, involved in the first goal and supplied the assist for Rigg. Dealt with a lively opponent without real damage.

Nordi Mukiele eight. Calm in possession and dominant, producing two outstanding sliding tackles, one sparking a chance for Rigg and the other leading to Le Fee’s goal.

Luke O’Nien seven. Read danger well with a couple of key interventions when York threatened, and stayed composed on the ball.
