Sunderland in talks with Gladbach over Jonas Omlin move

AFC Sunderland have made contact with Borussia Mönchengladbach over Jonas Omlin, and discussions are ongoing. No agreement has been reached.

According to BuLi News, the Premier League side are weighing up a possible deal before Deadline Day on 2 February 2026.

The 32-year-old Switzerland native has completely fallen out of favour at Gladbach following Moritz Nicolas' rise.

A calf muscle injury on Matchday four derailed his 2024-25 campaign, opening the door for Nicolas to claim first-choice status.

Omlin joined Gladbach from Ligue 1 side Montpellier in the January transfer window of 2023 for €nine million.
