Sunderland ‘linked with’ £77m triple move as new targets emerge | OneFootball

Sunderland are being linked with three ambitious signings that could total about £77million as fresh targets emerge.

Tele Radio Stereo reports Sunderland have enquired about Roma winger Matias Soulé, valued a little over €35million, around £30million. The club are understood to have sought information only, with transfer operations director Ghisolfi having helped take Soulé from Juventus to Roma in 2024.

The left-footed right winger shone on loan at Frosinone before joining Roma. Borussia Dortmund are also credited with interest, and the player is reportedly not tempted by Saudi Arabia.

Sunderland are also linked with Parma centre-back Mariano Troilo. Fulham are said to have had a bid of about €20million, roughly £17million, turned down, while Leeds and Sunderland are now in the frame. Parma are believed to want more than £17million to advance talks.

Troilo, 23, arrived from Belgrano for about €8million, £6.8million, and grew into Serie A in the second half of last season. Parma are in no rush to sell and his price is thought to be rising.

Italian journalist Luca Cilli claims Sunderland and Bournemouth could make concrete moves for Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović, with Juventus some way behind in that race.

Muharemović is estimated at €25million to €35million, about £21.5million to £30million, and Juventus reportedly hold a buy-back clause near €18million, £15.5million. Combined, the mooted fees sit around £68.5million to £77million. Sunderland’s first team return to training at the Academy of Light today.
